New build, two-storey classroom block to provide state-of-the-art teaching and laboratory facilities to further support the College’s academic teaching syllabus on the Broomfield Campus, Derby College’s agricultural and horticultural centre.
Key features, include:
- Predominately naturally ventilated - “mixed-mode” ventilation strategy to classrooms to minimise summertime overheating
- Air tightness and insulation better than Building Regulations
- Internal rooms feature “on-demand” mechanical ventilation with highly efficient heat recovery
- High efficiency LPG gas fired variable flow control heating system
- High efficiency lighting systems with daylight linking controls and occupancy absence detection
- Building management system for efficient control of heating and hot water systems
