New-build 32 bed dementia care unit and 88 extra care living apartments, complete with day care facilities, including: restaurant, library, shop, hairdressers and multi-purpose activity hall
Key features of project, include:
- Air tightness and insulation better than Building Regulations
- High efficiency gas fired condensing boiler plant with variable flow control heating system to maximise energy savings at part load
- “On demand” mechanical ventilation systems with highly efficient heat recovery
- HTM compliant ventilation services to Day Care Drop in Centre
- BREEAM “Very Good” Rating
- Small scale district heating system for apartments, featuring heat interface units (heating and instantaneous hot water)
- High efficiency lighting systems with daylight linking controls and occupancy absence detection
- Extensive Building management system for efficient control of heating, hot water, cooling and ventilation systems
